Position: Chiloquin Visions in Progress Executive Director

Salary and Benefits: Salaried Position

·         Salary: $25,000 - $30,000 per year.

·         Part-time, exempt.

·         Sick leave will be accrued at the rate of 4 hours per month.

·         Per diem expenses will be reimbursed with pre-approval by the CVIP Board

Working Hours:  To be determined with occasional evenings and weekends.

Overview: Chiloquin Visions in Progress (CVIP) is a non-profit community development organization that actively promotes and supports economic, social and creative vitality within the City of Chiloquin core as well as in the greater Chiloquin area.  

We are seeking an Executive Director who is a dynamic, motivated self-starter who will proactively maintain and build robust collaborative partnerships with the Chiloquin community agencies and stakeholders as well as with our grant funders and community donors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Report to the CVIP Board via the Board President or designee and will be expected to attend all Board meetings.

·         Will serve as the primary contact for the organization.

·         Lead the organization in implementing the CVIP Strategic Plan with actionable strategies for accomplishing the identified priorities, goals, and objectives.

·         Supervise and guide CVIP staff and project and program leads.

·         Develop an annual budget and fundraising strategy in collaboration with the CVIP Board and staff.

·         Oversee and work with CVIP Administration staff and project and program leads to monitor and track expenditures and revenue within the operating budget.

·         Initiate and write grants and grant reports while maintaining a dynamic and positive relationship with our foundations and funders.

·         Work with CVIP staff to accurately track grant expenses.

·         Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholder groups at the City, local agency, community and county levels.

·         Manage and disseminate written and electronic communication for the organization and present CVIP reports to various community groups as needed.

·         Follow CVIP Policies and Procedures and provide recommendations as necessary.

·         Demonstrate a strong commitment to CVIP and its financial solvency and positive community image.

·         Able to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Preferred 2 – 3 years in successful non-profit administration and/or leadership, or equivalent experience.

·         Experience in one or more of the following: business and economic development, marketing, community leadership, and    fundraising.

·         Familiarity with rural challenges and solutions.

·         Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

·         Able to communicate and interface with diverse groups of stakeholders and agencies.

·         Competency in computer use and applications including MS Office, various social media, website management, and conducting and actively participating in virtual meetings.

·         Strategic approach to problem solving, seeks collaboration and win-win solutions.

·         Self-motivated and directed.
