About GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day encouraging people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires millions to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. And you can be a part of this growing force for good.

Join the movement and give, whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

It’s a simple idea: whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in.

Ways to support our Chiloquin community

VOLUNTEER

There are many ways to volunteer your time and support the community, whether it is working at the Food Pantry or the Blessing Pot, helping with CVIP's Chiloquin Learns After School, Friends of the Chiloquin Library, or the Chiloquin Bike Club, making a difference during the winter by assisting with the city's Snow Angle program, or by volunteering at the Two Rivers Art Gallery.

DONATE

Individual giving, which makes up the largest share of donations for nonprofit organizations, saw a 6.4% drop in 2022, while costs have continued to increase dramatically.
Your donation, no matter the size, makes a tangible difference, helping CVIP remain resilient and responsive to Chiloquin's needs and challenges.

Programs making a difference in Chiloquin

"Chiloquin Learns After School (CLAS) has had a lasting impact on the Chiloquin community. Parents were given piece of mind that their students had a safe, welcoming, and enriching place to be after school in a community that has very little opportunities for children. At CLAS students had the opportunity to take part in enriching activities that built their knowledge and love of exploring the world around them. As the director of CLAS I found the opportunity to provide a multitude of projects and activities for students that their classroom teachers would not have time for in a regular school day. From learning about volcanoes around the world and constructing models to taking part in peer theater and a student art show there was always something exciting happening for students and staff alike."

Bev Biernot, Previous CLAS Director
