Another Successful Season for the Chiloquin Bike Club

Last Updated 6/15/2026Posted in Chiloquin Bike Club

The Chiloquin Bike Club recently completed a successful spring season, giving local youth a fun and supportive way to build confidence, learn bicycle safety, and stay active after school.

This spring, the program served 22 students in grades 2 and 3, as well as 4 high school students. Each week, students practiced riding skills, learned about bike safety, worked together as a team, and enjoyed healthy outdoor recreation. Throughout the season, it was exciting to see students grow more confident on their bikes and to see them encourage one another along the way.

The Bike Club is now an official program of Chiloquin Visions in Progress and is a strong addition to CVIP’s youth programs. The club supports CVIP’s mission by helping youth connect, grow, and take part in positive activities right here in Chiloquin.

The continued success of the Chiloquin Bike Club and other youth programs is made possible through the support of organizations that believe in investing in rural communities. CVIP recently received grant funding from The Ford Family Foundation to support the Bike Club and other youth initiatives, helping provide resources, equipment, and opportunities for local youth. Funding like this is critical to small rural nonprofits such as CVIP, where access to grants and financial resources can be limited. The Foundation's investment helps ensure that programs like the Bike Club, Chiloquin Learns After School (CLAS), and other youth activities can continue to grow and provide meaningful experiences that help young people build skills, confidence, and connections within their community.

While the spring season has come to a close, planning is already underway for the club’s return this fall. The Bike Club will continue to provide youth with opportunities to develop riding skills, build friendships, and enjoy the many benefits of outdoor recreation. As interest in the program continues to grow, CVIP looks forward to expanding opportunities for local youth to explore cycling in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

CVIP is grateful for the support of The Ford Family Foundation, our volunteers, partners, families, and community supporters who help make programs like the Chiloquin Bike Club possible. Their investment in our youth creates opportunities that might not otherwise exist and helps build a stronger future for Chiloquin.
