Chiloquin Learns After School Returns This Fall!

Last Updated 7/30/2026Posted in CLAS

A new school year is just around the corner, and that means Chiloquin Learns After School (CLAS) is getting ready to welcome students back for another exciting year of learning, creativity, and fun!

Following a fantastic 2025–2026 school year, we are looking forward to building on the momentum as we prepare to launch the 2026–2027 program in late September or early October.

A Year of Growth and Discovery

Last year was one of our most successful years yet. Student participation continued to grow as more families discovered everything CLAS has to offer. Throughout the school year, students enjoyed a variety of engaging, hands-on activities that made learning exciting long after the school day ended.

From literacy and homework support to science, art, outdoor exploration, gardening, cooking, and STEM projects, every afternoon offered new opportunities to learn through play and discovery. Students planted gardens, explored nature, created imaginative art projects, built new friendships, and developed valuable life skills in a safe, welcoming environment.

CLAS also continued to provide a nutritious afternoon meal each day, helping ensure students had the energy they needed to learn, play, and thrive.

Most importantly, CLAS gave students a place where they felt supported, encouraged, and connected. Watching their confidence grow throughout the year was one of the program's greatest successes.

Registration is Now Open!

We're excited to announce that registration for the 2026–2027 CLAS program is now open!

CLAS serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade and provides a fun, enriching after-school experience focused on learning, creativity, physical activity, and positive relationships.

Families are encouraged to register early, as space is limited.

Registration information is available on our website and through our online registration form:  https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/HGC87rYb0h.

We're Looking for Classroom Aides and Volunteers

As CLAS continues to grow, so does our need for caring adults who want to make a difference.

We are currently recruiting both paid classroom aides and community volunteers to help support students throughout the school year.

Whether you enjoy reading with children, helping with arts and crafts, leading outdoor games, assisting with STEM activities, or simply encouraging young learners, there is a place for you on the CLAS team.

You don't need to be a teacher to make a lasting impact. A few hours of your time each week can help build confidence, spark curiosity, and create meaningful connections with local children.

If you're interested in becoming a classroom aide or volunteer, we'd love to hear from you. You can go to our website job board https://www.chiloquinvisions.com/cvip-job-board/ or give us a call at 541 783-7780.

Powered by Community Partnerships

One of the greatest strengths of Chiloquin Learns After School is the incredible support we receive from our community. CLAS is made possible through partnerships with the Klamath County School District, generous grant funding, local businesses, volunteers, and organizations that believe every child deserves opportunities to learn and succeed beyond the school day. Throughout the year, community members share their time, talents, and resources by leading special activities, reading with students, providing supplies, supporting field trips, and helping create memorable learning experiences. Every contribution, whether it's funding, volunteering, or sharing a unique skill, helps enrich the program and expand what we can offer our students.

As we prepare for another exciting school year, we invite businesses, organizations, and individuals to become part of the CLAS family. Your support helps ensure that local children continue to have access to a safe, engaging, and inspiring after-school program where they can learn, grow, and build meaningful connections. Please feel reach out to us if you would like to help sponsor or donate to CLAS.

Looking Ahead

As we begin another school year, we remain committed to providing high-quality after-school opportunities that help children learn, grow, and discover their potential.

None of this would be possible without the support of our families, volunteers, staff, community partners, and generous funders. Together, we're creating opportunities that strengthen not only our students but our entire community.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back this fall. We hope you'll join us for another year of learning, laughter, and adventure at Chiloquin Learns After School!
