Volunteers Needed: Help Lead a New Strength & Balance Class in Chiloquin
Chiloquin Visions in Progress (CVIP) is partnering with Oregon State University Extension to bring the StrongPeople Program to our community, and we’re seeking 1–3 volunteers to help lead the class.
StrongPeople is a strength-and-balance program designed for adults and seniors. The goal is simple: help people stay strong, steady on their feet, and connected to others. Communities across Oregon use this program to reduce fall risk, improve mobility, and support healthy aging.

Why This Matters
Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults. Programs like StrongPeople improve balance and strength, which can reduce falls and, in some communities, even lower ambulance calls. Just as important, these classes provide people with a reason to leave the house, stay active, and connect with others.
